THE METHOD TO MY MADNESS... CAMPS, CLINICS, TRAINING & COACHING

Gone are the days of  just "go hard or go home"and all the other clever t-shirt slogans you'll find walking through the halls of any local high school or college... that's a given! Hard work, dedication and attitude are all a must but there's much more to consider. To survive as athletes we have to be smarter and more resourceful. we must constantly seek knowledge and efficiency. No longer can we rely on freaky genetics and random training regimens that come from bodybuilding magazines or 1970's text books.
For those athletes that don't have the time to research physics, biomechanics, physiology and world class athletic performance on a daily basis, I have done the work for you. Take a look at the basic framework of my program.

Results & goal refinement:
The data from your assessment helps guide us to creating realistic, chronological long and short term goals. Without specific goals it is impossible to create an effective training program.

After determining your areas for improvement, your lifestyle and level of commitment I can create a training program or restructure your existing program to produce better results than ever.

Program administration:
Once the program is created we need a method for administering and updating it.

We will:

  • create a specific schedule for diet, exercise, practice, competition and restoration techniques
  • complete a calendar that includes long and short term goal dates
  • schedule dates for re-evaluation and program updates
THROWING & STRENGTH TRAINING CAMPS & CLINICS
Camps for throwing and strength training are available to highschool and college athletes and coaches. These sessions include both classroom and hands-on learning. Athletes and coaches leave with a solid understanding of the the methods I use as well as the ability to create workouts on their own. Often clinics leave you with a few great drills and some good ideas but never give you the "when and how" to use them. I make it a point to teach the "when and how" of using certain lifts and drills in order to create the perfect program for yourself and be able do adjust it when needed.

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING CLINICS
(Training for explosive athletes from any sport)
I believe in creating a solid foundation of knowlede and technique. Athletes must be athletic as well as strong. weight room numbers don't mean much if you can't move quickly or go up a flight of stairs without getting out of breath. I teach athletes how to become strong, fast AND athletic.
here are a few important points I teach to athletes:

  • Proper training techniques and body mechanics
  • The dynamic training method
  • The Max effort method
  • proper use of bands and chains
  • proper use of plyometrics
  • general physical preparation (GPP) how to get in great overall physical condition
  • Speciall physical preparation (SPP) sport specific training for preparing your body to do a large volume of sport specific work
  • Organization of your training schedule

You will recieve a comprehensive and specific supplimental program to encorporate into your training routine. Your program will include complete descriptions and videos or pictures of the prescribed drills and why you should be doing them.
